The short version. If you send us an enquiry, we use your details to answer it and to run any order that follows. We don't use cookies, we don't track you, we don't run analytics, and we never sell or share your details for marketing. That's genuinely all of it. The rest of this page is the detail.

1. Who we are

WYLLZ WORLD RETAIL LTD is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are registered in England & Wales under company number 16431106.

For anything relating to your data, including any of the requests in section 7, contact us at wyllzworldretail@gmail.com. Our registered office address is on public record at Companies House.

2. What we collect

When you use our quote or enquiry form

We collect what you type into it:

Company name
Your name
Email address
Phone number (optional)
What you're looking for, quantity, and your deadline
Delivery postcode (optional) and any other notes you add

When you email us

Your email address, your name, and whatever you choose to put in the message.

When you place an order

In addition to the above: the delivery address, and the payment reference associated with your bank transfer. We never see or hold your bank details. Payment reaches us by transfer into our business account, and we receive only the reference and the amount.

What we don't collect

No cookies. This website sets none, not for analytics, advertising, or anything else. That's why you aren't seeing a cookie banner.
No tracking or analytics. We don't run Google Analytics or any equivalent, and there are no advertising or social media tracking pixels on this site.
No accounts. There's nothing to register for, so there are no passwords or profiles.
No special category data. We have no reason to collect anything sensitive and we don't ask for any.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote: Lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
To fulfil and deliver an order, and to handle a warranty claim: Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).
To keep records of sales and purchases: Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)). Company and tax law requires us to keep transaction records.
To prevent spam and fraudulent enquiries: Lawful basis: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in protecting the business.

We do not send marketing. We don't run a mailing list, and we won't add you to one. If we ever start, it will be opt-in and you will have to actively ask for it.

4. Who your data is shared with

We keep this list short on purpose. Your data goes to:

Formspree: Processes submissions from our quote form and forwards them to us by email. Their privacy policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
Google (Gmail, and Google Fonts): Our business email runs on Gmail, so emails to and from us are stored there. This site also loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
Our website host: Serves this site to your browser and keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and reliability.
Delivery carriers: The recipient name, delivery address and contact details necessary to deliver your order.
Our accountant and, where required, HMRC and Companies House: Transaction records, as required to prepare and file our accounts and tax returns.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

If you buy from us through our eBay store instead, eBay is a separate data controller for that transaction and its own privacy notice applies.

5. International transfers

Some of the providers above are based outside the UK, or store data outside it. Formspree and Google in particular operate in the United States.

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards those providers have in place, which are the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the UK–US Data Bridge where the provider is certified under it. You can ask us for more detail on any specific provider.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to an order: Up to 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Trade buyers often come back a year or two later, and it's more useful to both of us if we still have the context.
Order and transaction records: 7 years from the end of the relevant accounting period, because company and tax law requires us to keep them.
Warranty records: For the length of the 12-month warranty plus a reasonable period afterwards, so we can deal with claims.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Have it corrected if it's wrong or incomplete
Have it erased, where we don't have a legal obligation to keep it
Restrict or object to how we use it, including where we rely on legitimate interests
Portability: receive the data you gave us in a usable format, or have it sent to someone else
Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on consent

8. Security

This site is served over HTTPS, so what you send through the form is encrypted in transit. Access to enquiry and order records is limited to the people who need it to run the business. We are a small company and we keep the number of places your data sits deliberately small.

No system is completely secure. If a breach ever occurred that was likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we would notify the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours and tell you where required to.

9. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first, as we'd rather fix it directly.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant, we'll tell affected customers directly.
